About the Job

She has lived with her condition for most of her life. She knows the appointments, the uncertainty, and how easily life plans/ life goals can get pushed further down the road. She has built a career she loves as a project manager at a small architecture firm. She is bright, ambitious, and happiest when she is helping turn an idea into something real. As her health declined, work became harder and the future she imagined with her partner started to feel less certain. The double transplant is enormous, especially for someone so young. After a successful surgery at Houston Methodist, recovery appears through small signs. Getting dressed without sitting down. Walking farther than expected. Driving through the city with her partner and talking about ordinary things again.
